Organisational use of open source software (OSS) can often fly under the corporate radar, yet 96% of scanned application code contains OSS components. With OSS forming a critical part of many organisations’ infrastructure, it can no longer be ignored.

The ISF’s new research explores what OSS is and debunks some of the myths linked to its use, exposing the true reality of the benefits that OSS can bring. While OSS can accelerate the creation of bespoke applications, these must be developed with security in mind or organisations will face considerable challenges in using OSS.

In the coming weeks, snippets of the briefing paper will be publicly available to download.

ISF Members can download the full briefing paper from their ISF Live account now to find out more about the measures that should be implemented to address these challenges and reap the rewards of effectively managing OSS.
